Apple Beer Review
Brand: Apple Beer
Flavor: Apple
Sweetener: Pure cane sugar
Size: 12 ounce bottle
Purchased at: Whole Foods
Similar to: Jones Green Apple Soda
Bottled in Salt Lake City, Utah, Apple Beer is a Bavarian tradition made in the Rocky Mountains since 1964. Unlike many other apple sodas, this one is made to taste like red apples rather than Granny Smith green apples. Because of this, the soda isn’t quite as tart as most other apple flavored sodas. Overall, Apple Beer captures the flavor of apples very nicely. As the bottle says, this is the “soft drink with a head” and they aren’t joking. The soda is very foamy and bubbles up after every sip. Apple Beer is caffeine free and alcohol free and comes in a brown 12-ounce bottle. The bottles design and label has a nice, old-fashioned look to it which makes this vintage soda an enjoyable drink for most occasions.

Boylan Creme Soda Review
Brand: Boylan
Flavor: Creme
Sweetener: Cane sugar
Size: 12 ounce bottle
Purchased at: Harmons
Boylan is definitely one of the more popular brands of the vintage, old-fashioned soda on the market today. It’s widely available in most grocery stores in a variety of flavors. Surprising then, that until earlier today, I had never tried a Boylan soda. The first one I decided to try is the Creme Soda. At first, I was a little turned off by the presentation; the bottle and label are fairly bland. The color of the soda is nice, though so I went ahead and bought it to give it a try. This flavor of Boylan is pretty standard as far as creme sodas go. The soda has a nice smooth creme flavor that goes down easy. The one thing that sets this one apart from other creme sodas, though, is that it contains pure vanilla extract which adds a nice twist to the otherwise standard creme flavor.

AMERICANA HONEY CREAM REVIEW
Americana Honey Cream just might be one of the best vanilla cream sodas I have had. Somehow by not calling itself a vanilla cream this soda confuses you about it’s true identity until you taste it. It first hits you with a very smooth and sweet taste with a nice creamy finish. I couldn’t detect the honey in “Honey Cream” but it definitely has sweetness and smoothness with an excellent vanilla taste.
NOTES
Sweet, creamy, smooth vanilla cream soda. Finishes soft, sweet and buttery smooth. Lightly carbonated.
